Shellina Lakhdhir & Saima Naz
Shellina Lakhdhir is the Regional Campaign Manager for Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC), responsible for producing the World Partnership Walk and World Partnership Golf campaigns in BC annually. Working with a host of volunteers, she manages the fundraising and logistical aspects of all campaigns; and is also responsible for corporate and media relations. Her past campaigns have yielded over $2.5 million in one year, the total amount of which will be invested towards sustainable and community-led international development projects in Asia and Africa.
Saima Naz is well known in South Asian media circles - her vivacious personality and charismatic charm captivate an audience daily on Radio and Television. However, what most do not know is that Saima is revolutionizing the education system. She is the Founder and Director of Higher Grade Learning Centre and the CEO and Principal of iLearn BC School Society. Hence Saima is dedicated to fast forwarding the education system as she believe through the intelligent use of technology, combined with new approaches to education, a more personalized style of learning can be realized.
